The India Post will celebrate the National Postal Week by launching various projects from October 10 – 14. The week is being celebrated in connection with World Post Day which falls on October 9.

Students visit
The school students will be allowed to visit the post offices on the next day to know their day to day functioning. The journey of the mail from one end to another will be explained to them in detail.
October 12 will be celebrated as Philately Day, which will be devoted to explaining the hobby of philately through the beautiful world of stamps and generating interest among the youngsters on the this hobby which has a lot of areas covered through different themes.
The day will also be marked by quiz and letter writing competitions for school students.
India Post offered a number of products aimed at the business communities and the corporate houses.
The various premium products of the department will be explained to the customers on the Business Development Day observed on October 13.
Intensive campaign
India Post is the oldest provider of Insurance product and the Postal Life Insurance was started way back in 1884. PLI Day will be observed on October 14, when a mela will be conducted to promote postal insurance products. Intensive campaign will also be launched for the revival of the lapsed Rural Postal Life Insurance Policies, the release added.
